This story began in 1973, when a visionary Singaporean entrepreneur, embarked on a mission to sweeten the lives of his community. Seeing the lack of imported candy and chocolate available locally, he decided to import them himself.

Starting as a small distribution company, he began introducing global confectionery icons into Singapore, including the legendary Chupa Chups lollipops. His passion for bringing quality sweets from around the world sparked a quiet revolution in local tastes, and the smiles they brought made one thing clear, “This is the beginning of a new empire”

With grit and determination, and often working out of modest setups, our founder built one of Singapore’s earliest chocolate and candy distribution businesses, eventually reaching supermarkets, duty-free shops, and airport retailers.

By 2003, his family transformed the wholesale and distribution business into a new kind of experience: the first Candy Empire store opened at Millenia Walk. A wonderland of international treats, it quickly became a destination for locals and tourists alike. It was a place where sweet dreams come true.
