World Chocolate Day’s coming up tomorrow and YOU deserve a special treat! If you prefer whipping up your own chocolate indulgence, we’ve curated 3 simple (and we mean REALLY simple) recipes to get you started!

#1 No-Bake Chocolate Cheesecake

What you need!

For the crust:

  • 200g Oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 2 cups of full fat cream cheese, room temperature
  • 250g dark chocolate
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the ganache:

  • 140g milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

How to make it!

  1. First up, the crust! Crush your Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and add melted butter. Combine both ingredients and press into the bottom of a pan. Pop this into the fridge while making the filling!
  2. Chop up your dark chocolate and melt it in the microwave.
  3. Beat your cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Then, add in your melted chocolate and continue beating till smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip your heavy cream to medium peaks. Gradually fold into the cheesecake mixture.
  5. Pour this filling into the pan with your Oreo cookies, and place into the freezer while making your topping!
  6. Chop up your milk chocolate and place in a large bowl. Bring your heavy cream to a simmer in a saucepan, then pour over the chocolate. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  7. Pour this over the cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  8. Remove from the fridge and eat before anyone else gets their hands on this yummy treat!

#2 Chocolate Microwave Mug Cake

What you need!

  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make it!

  1. Mix your flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a large, microwave-safe mug.
  2. Add in your milk, canola oil, water, vanilla extract and stir.
  3. Pop it into the microwave for about 1 min 45 seconds until the middle of the cake is done!

Tip: Swap out your cocoa powder for Milo powder instead if you’re a fan!

What you need!

How to make it!

  1. Empty your choice of chocolate powder into a mug
  2. Heat up your milk of choice in a pot
  3. Add your milk to your chocolate powder, and top off with mini marshmallows for added enjoyment!
